IFPS 2010 Call for Speakers
August 21, 2009
The Call for Speakers has officially closed. Proposals are now under review, and authors will be informed of the reviewers' decisions by the end of November.
The deadline for submissions was November 12, 2009.
The International Society for Fall Protection (ISFP) is seeking presenters for the 2010 International Fall Protection Symposium (IFPS). The symposium will be held in conjunction with the American Society of Safety Engineers' (ASSE) Safety 2010 Professional Development Conference (PDC) and Exposition on June 16-17, 2010, in Baltimore, Maryland.
The IFPS is designed to provide an interdisciplinary platform for fall protection experts around the world to exchange information on the latest fall protection research and industry trends. Expert presentations and panel discussions explore current tools and techniques for controlling and eliminating fall hazards. Next year's event is organized around the theme of "Progress through Collaboration" and will focus on fall accidents as a subject of global concern.
Those interested in presenting are invited to submit proposals for review by the Selection Committee no later than November 12, 2009. Both members and non-members are welcome to apply. See submission guidelines provided below.
*Advanced, technically oriented presentations are of particular interest.
Important Information for Presenters
Sessions are limited to 45 minutes.
Presenters (one to two per session) will receive full complementary symposium registration and a reduced registration rate for ASSE's Professional Development Conference (PDC). Travel, lodging and meal expenses are the responsibility of the speaker.
If selected to present, an LCD projector and screen will be provided. Speakers will be required to bring their own laptop computer and/or notify the ISFP of any additional A/V needs (subject to availability).
Selected speakers will be required to submit a paper for the proceedings based on their presentation. The proceedings paper is due April 1, 2010. Details about format and length requirements will be provided upon selection.
An individual may submit a maximum of two proposals as the only or primary presenter.
For presentations with two speakers, all communications will be sent to the primary presenter.
